Deaths Per Million

You can view all the countries on that site.

The lower the number of deaths the better. Spain and Italy did very badly. Japan, China, South Korea, and Canada did well. Germany has done better than most other European countries.

The only current way to fight the spread of the disease is to limit the movement of people, shelter in place, and social distance.  The countries that did this early and well suffered far fewer deaths than the countries that did not.
